Christopher Anius
2018 Award Recipient
My name is Christopher Anius. At the age of two, I was diagnosed with Sickle Cell. Throughout my entire life living with Sickle Cell, I had to limit the activities and dreams I wanted to accomplish. I went through many crises, but I was determined to get through them.
I currently live in Brampton, Ontario, with my parents and brothers. I am attending St. Augustine Secondary School, living a normal life, having fun with family and friends, and doing all the things that I can make possible. My favourite subject in school is English.
At the end of this year, I plan on attending Humber College to study Business Administration to further my knowledge of what it’s like to become a business person. Other subjects I take are International Business, Accounting, and Math.
My hobbies are playing volleyball, basketball, and soccer, hanging out with my friends, and playing video games.
Don’t let a sickness control what you will do in your future—the only one that can decide your future is you.
