The tall maple trees are laden with golden leaves
The sweet fragrance of the autumn breeze
Join with the torrents of the rain
Brought leaves scattered in the busy street.
Neighbors gathering them for fun
God has hands we know,
How he makes his power known
The strong wind from the mountain slope
Comes crashing down on the trees
The ground all around filled with leaves
No one sees the sweeper, or His broom
The hands that make the place so clean
God has hands we know.
How He makes His power known.
The long winding sidewalks are so clean
From the open field to the corner street
The tall grass under the willow trees singing
Rejoice we are no longer covered with leaves
God's has swept the place so clean
God has hands we know
How he makes His power known
He displays His majesty in everything
His authority even in the wind
He cannot be questioned or challenged
For what is done by Him each day
Reminds me he can never fail
God has hands you know,
How he makes His power known
Who has prescribed his ways for Him
No one can say you have done me wrong
Convict him of vandalism, or fraud
Tried Him at the Court of Law
Or laid anything to His charge
God has hands you know
How He makes His power known
He carved out this vast earth’s foundation.
He marked out its length, breath and height
He measured its dimension without a line
And laid its corner stone without a chart
Beautiful weeds in the bed of the Sea
God has Hands you know
How He makes His power known
He sets the boundary of the deep blue sea
Beyond doors as it burst forth in a glee
Like a baby gushing from the womb
He controls the recess of the deep
And set doors and bars in place
God has hands, you know
How He makes His Power known
He halted the proud waves saying
Come this far and no further,
He sets the boundries of the Bay
Saying, come thus far and no further
Great King of the universe is He
God has hands you know
How he makes His Power known
